Edwards is a highly regarded prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 205 pounds, he plays for the prestigious St. Frances Academy in Maryland, a school known for producing top-tier talent. Georgia has previously recruited from this powerhouse, securing linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson, a four-star player from the class of 2021.
The talented safety showcased his skills at the Under Armour All-American Game in Deland, Florida, where he played alongside current Georgia commits such as Elijah Griffin, Juan Gaston, and Zech Fort. If Edwards decides to join Georgia, he will bolster an already promising defensive backfield. The Bulldogs have commitments from safeties Zech Fort and Jordan Smith, as well as three-star recruit Kealan Jones. Many recruiting analysts, including 247Sports, predict Edwards is leaning toward Georgia.
Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class is highly ranked by various services, with On3 placing them fifth nationally. Edwards is ranked 24th overall and is considered the nation’s second-best safety, making his commitment a significant boost for the Bulldogs.
